Au Revoir

Packing for a trip stresses me - what will I need, what to take, do I have everything? My world in a suitcase.

I'm headed for France tomorrow. Mom and I are going together. We've talked about this trip for at least 25 years - now we're going! I can't quite get my head wrapped around the next two weeks. I will be in another world; one with which I'm not familiar and one without my husband. That's what I can't get my head wrapped around; being away from him.

This is going to be a renewing time with Mom. Our time together since I left for college has been scheduled around holidays and vacation schedules. I'm looking forward to getting to know her again . . . Matriarch to MIT.
